You often live with obligations and rules.
This weekend I realized that free time is a broad concept.
This weekend of various things did wonders.
An afternoon in Amersfoort looking for a pasta machine. An evening in the sauna.
The next day a walk in the woods. And to finish off a visit to my older brother Roland.
The weekend went by quickly. I had a lot of fun. My wallet less so, but that shouldn't spoil the fun.
Even when you are away from home for a long time, you feel like you are in a different world.
You forget the daily worries.
Traveling to faraway countries or Europe makes it special with what you see and experience.
You enjoy being away in a new environment. The feeling of freedom becomes more intense.
When I was younger, traveling never gave me the feeling that I wanted to go home.
You make the most of the moments, in typical YEN style, enjoying every moment.
I thoroughly enjoyed traveling, the countries, the culture, the encounters and the food. As you get older, you start to realize that "the grass is greener on the other side".
Adding years to your age has its charms. You start to appreciate things differently.
When you come home, it is now "as the clock ticks at home, it ticks nowhere".
The feeling of "I AM HOME" cannot be expressed in words!
I can safely say that I am a happy person. I know what I have.
Wherever I have been, when I come home I am always hungry.
Whether it is night or what time I come back, my ritual is to dive into the kitchen.
Everything is always freshly cooked for me there. Your environment knows you better.
As standard, I always make fried SHRIMP with sauce and baguette. Delicious! And a delicious cava, to end a beautiful travel story. Enjoying these moments always gives me a happy big smile.
